Sparkling Surfaces with Andrew Logan
This workshop provides the rare opportunity to work under the guidance of world famous artist Andrew Logan, creating eye-catching objets and dazzling jewellery that capture the vibrancy and spirit of Jaipur and India, using Andrew’s special resin techniques developed over the course of his long career. He is assisted by Sophie Knight.
Traveling into the bazaars of the Old City to source the materials; glass and mirror, beads, sequins, semi-precious stones, bright pigments and glitter. One can use ready made forms or have one’s own custom pieces cut in plywood in the market. You may bring items with you that you wish to incorporate into your work.
There will be instruction in both traditional and modern decorative techniques, including mosaic, gilding sculpting and in the preparation of some of the surface materials to be used such as papier-mâché and plaster.
Items you may consider making include jewellery, framed mirrors, picture frames, mobiles, 2D or 3D objets or recreating an image in sparkling materials.

Andrew Logan is a well-known artist, sculptor & jeweller, internationally acclaimed for his witty and vibrant work, which ranges from tiny jewels to gigantic sculpture. He has had numerous exhibitions world-wide and executed major public commissions He is a sought- after designer of sets & costumes for theatre & ballet and is the innovator of the Alternative Miss World event. In 1991 he founded the Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture in Wales, which regularly holds music, fashion and visual arts festivals
Sophie Knight Is an artist currently living and working in London. She has had solo shows and has been featured in many group shows both in the UK and the US. In 2018 her work was shown at the Royal Academy's 250th Summer Exhibition curated by Grayson Perry.
