Founded in 2002, Wonderful workshops is the initiative of Frances Ronaldson and Faith Singh.

This series of exceptionally hands-on workshops is led by local master-craftspeople in collaboration with well-known international artists. The five workshops on offer are based on the traditional arts and crafts of Rajasthan. The Wonderful Workshops programme promotes heritage and craft conservation, cross-cultural collaboration and responsible tourism.

Hosted at Diggi Palace, the workshops take place over one week at venues specially selected for each subject, including royal palaces, craft studios & specialist workshops. Alongside a dynamic and rigorous educational focus, the programme includes tailored walks through the old city and bazaars, plus expeditions to places of special interest to your workshop subject. Curated evening performances by classical and Rajasthani folk musicians, an exhibition of work produced by all the participants is followed by a final gala lunch.

The workshops are operated as a non for profit association. All profits are donated directly to artisan communities with guidance from our on the ground partners who are generously supporting us with access to their educational resources to participants of Wonderful Workshops.
