Laraaji, Indian Classical + Folk Music
January 26th - February 1st, 2026
Wonderful Workshops invites Laraaji to co-lead this workshop with a focus on Indian Classical + Folk music.
World renowned musician and meditation teacher Laraaji will lead participants through laughing yoga, meditation and devotional music alongside some of the masters of Indian Classical and Folk genres - covering Rajasthan Folk via the Manganiyar community, Dagar Vani Raga masters and Carnatic chants.
During the week we will practice healing meditation together and collectively improvise via our respective sound vocabularies, transcending genre and exploring new soundscape possibilities, culminating in a final performance and unique recordings developed throughout the week. We will explore philosophy, traditional and ambient music through a new lens and create an opportunity to experiment with new sounds, together telling stories and creating space for play through devotional music.
Participants do not need to come from a musical background, we welcome all types of practitioners from a variety of mediums - the course is designed with active participation in mind and is open to all.
